One and The Same

Whilst working collaboratively, each group member was assigned a public figure of which we had to find similarities with ourselves. The brief asked us to format the found data into a ‘magazine’. In response, we questioned what may or may not define a ‘magazine’. The brief also stressed that we were to showcase the characteristics of each individual, including ambitions, quotes and a short bio. We wanted to steer clear from the idea that individuals were all similar and instead signify our individuality and unique human qualities due to the progression of time and experiences within each of our lives. The information is at first unclear and ambiguous and similar to the format of an unorganised archive, it is only when the reader investigates the archive that the archive becomes clear and individuals are made more apparent. The transparent prints can be arranged in various orders, one above the next, and due to a simple colour scheme and indesign grid system, typography and images can be easily identified.
